'Modern Warfare 3' reveal next month?

Modern Warfare 3 reveal next month ?

Modern Warfare 2
Rumours have emerged that Modern Warfare 3 will be revealed next month.

According to an advertisement posted on PushSquare, the June issue of Official PlayStation Magazine UK features the return of "The biggest game in the world". A green number three appeared alongside the caption.

Elsewhere, rumours of an online edition of Call Of Duty have intensified. Rock, Paper, Shotgun has reported that Activision is about to unveil the long-rumoured Call Of Duty Online.

Earlier this year, Activision founded Beachhead Studios to work exclusively on a digital-only Call Of Duty service, hinting at a subscription model for the series.

It is thought that the studio wishes to compete with EA's Battlefield Play4Free, which is currently in open beta, although it is unknown whether CoD Online will be browser-based.

Modern Warfare 3 is expected to be featured in the June 8 issue of OPM UK.

Battlefield 4 has been showcased by EA, revealing the first footage and images.

The shooter sequel, which will be powered by the next-generation Frostbite 3 engine, was unveiled at the Games Developer Conference in San Francisco and a community event in Stockholm.

> Battlefield 4 preview: First look at the more open, emotional campaign

The single player campaign will offer more open, sandbox gameplay moments following feedback from Battlefield 3's campaign.

It also aims to deliver a more emotionally impactful story, closely following your fellow soldiers against the backdrop of an impending world war.

The campaign is teased to also offer elements of social persistence, while multiplayer introduces new water vehicles and will add innovations to the franchise.

Similar to Battlefield 3, it has also been
confirmed that a Premium subscription service is in the works.
